At Cosy Cabins, we design and build high-quality transportable cabins, tiny homes and custom-built spaces throughout New Zealand.
Because our buildings are custom-built and manufactured specifically for each customer and site, the following returns, cancellations and refund policy applies.
Deposits & Progress Payments
Deposits are required to secure your project, begin planning, confirm scheduling and procure materials.
Once manufacturing, material ordering or custom work has commenced, deposits and progress payments may become partially or fully non-refundable due to labour, administration and supplier costs already incurred.
Cancellations
Orders cancelled prior to construction or manufacturing commencing may be eligible for a partial or full refund, depending on costs incurred at the time of cancellation.
Once construction, fabrication or custom manufacturing has begun, cancellation charges may apply for completed work, ordered materials, labour and project administration.
Returns
Due to the customised and made-to-order nature of our cabins and buildings, returns are generally not accepted once manufacturing or construction has commenced.
If you have concerns regarding your project or completed building, please contact our team promptly so we can work toward a fair and practical resolution.
Damaged or Faulty Products
If your cabin or building arrives damaged or you believe there is a workmanship or manufacturing fault, please notify us as soon as possible with supporting information and photographs where applicable.
We will assess the issue and, where appropriate, repair, replace or remedy confirmed defects in accordance with our workmanship obligations and New Zealand consumer law.
Warranty
Cosy Cabins provides:
* A 10-year materials performance and workmanship guarantee
* A 1-year maintenance period
All building work is completed in accordance with agreed plans, specifications and relevant New Zealand building legislation, including the Building Act and Building Code requirements.
Certain products and materials supplied as part of the build may also carry separate manufacturer or supplier warranties. These warranties apply independently from the Cosy Cabins workmanship warranty.
Warranty Exclusions
Our warranty does not cover:
* Normal wear and tear
* Lack of regular maintenance
* Damage caused by weather events, flooding, erosion, ground movement or natural disasters
* Damage resulting from siteworks, foundations, blocking or external works not completed by Cosy Cabins
* Products or appliances covered under separate manufacturer warranties
Owners are responsible for ongoing maintenance and upkeep of the building as outlined within the project handover documentation provided at completion.
Refund Processing
Where refunds are approved, they will be processed back to the original payment method within a reasonable timeframe.
